Grand Yeoman of York Officers

Born November 5, 1946 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Enlisted in the United States Army November 6, 1963 and after 26 years retired as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. Has received many citations and commendations for his ability to lead others. His assignments have taken him to three tours in Germany, Viet Nam and many Army Post in the United States. He is a graduate of several Military Academy’s.

Lloyd retired after 25 years as a Safety Officer for the city of Indianapolis.

Married Barbara July 20, 1968. Together they had three children. Pamela (deceased) Deborah and Lloyd, Jr. They have four Grandchildren.

Lloyd began his Masonic journey while stationed in Germany. June 30, 1976 raised to the degree of Maser Mason in Truth and Friendship Lodge No. 828 Furth Germany. Received the Ancient and Heroic Order of the Gordian Knot in Alexander Synod No.5. While stationed in Chicago, Illinois received the York Rite degrees and orders in the Chicago Heights York Rite Bodies. There he presided over the Chapter, Council and Commandery. He was initiated in Medina Shrine in Chicago, Illinois.

He was transferred to Ft. Harrison, Indiana and transferred his memberships. He was a founding member of the Lawrence York Rite Bodies and served as their Secretary and Recorder for 26 years.

Lloyd served as a Royal Arch Deputy under the leadership of Companion Philip E. Fowler Most Excellent Grand High Priest. April 1997 was elected Excellent Grand Royal Arch Captain. Progressed in the line to become the Most Excellent Grand High Priest 2001-2002.

He currently holds office in the following Bodies: Indianapolis Preceptory No.4 Recorder, Grand Preceptory as the Grand Adjutant and is a Past Grand Director General of the Grand Preceptory Yeoman of York. Supreme Grand Officer/Recorder of the Supreme Grand Synod of the Ancient and Heroic Order of the Gordian Knot. An officer in St. Andrew Tabernacle No.XXXV   Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priest.

Memberships include Hancock Lodge No.101 F&AM, Greenfield York Rite Bodies. Robert A. Woods Priory No.62 KYGCH. Past President of State York Rite Association. Indianapolis/Ft. Harrison Chapter No.66 National Sojourners (Past President). Indiana Council No.15 Knight Masons. Murat Shrine Police Club. Indiana Past Commanders Association (Past Presiding officer). Indiana Anointed High Priest Association (Past presiding officer). Member of St. Bernard de Clairvaux Council No.256 Allied Masonic Degrees. Royal Order of Zanzibar, Order of the Quest, Grand and Glorious Order of the Hillbilly degree, Goose & Tater 101.

American Legion. Served as the Post Commander two years.

Sammy L. Davis Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No.295. Serves as an advisor.

Invested with the Honorary Legion of Honor from the International Supreme Council Order of DeMolay.

A Colonel in the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

His hobbies are camping in the RV and playing his guitar with emphasis on 50, 60 and 70’s rock n roll.
