BIOGRAPHY OF JACK SANDLER

Jack was born on December 27,1933 in Indianapolis, In. to Jack and Ethel Sandler. He has one brother (deceased.) He attended Howe High School and Valparaiso Tech where he matriculated in electrical engineering. He served several apprentice ships including Tool and Die, Gage making, Special Machine Building and Plastic Injection and Die Cast Molds. He was employed at Allison Transmission as a Senior Tool Engineer and worked there 28 years retiring as a Manager of Salary and Hourly in Plants 2,3,12and14.

He was married and has one daughter, Jan. After his first wife’s passing, he married Wanda and they have two children and four Grand Children.

Jacks hobbies include Model RC Aircraft, Banjo and Woodworking.

MASONIC HISTORY

Petitioned Cumberland Lodge #726 in 1969. Served as WM. In 1975.

YORK RITE

Joined Greenfield York Rite in 2008. Served all three bodies and as EC. Four times.

KYCH

Eminent Prior in 2019-2020.

YORK RITE COLLEGE

Governor 2021-2022.  Received the Order of the Purple Cross in Dallas, Texas. In 2017.

Allied Masonic Degrees

Belongs to Bartholomew AMD #295.  Sovereign Master in 2019.

SCOTTISH RITE

Became a 32- degree mason through the valley of Indianapolis, In. Served on the membership development committee receiving a pin with 11 diamonds. Fifty Year member.

MURAT SHRINE

Joined the Shrine in 1969. Served on the Membership Development Committee receiving the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. Also, a member of the Johnson County Shrine Club since 1988.

Eastern Star

Member of Fairland Chapter #359 since 1973.

YEOMAN OF YORK

Member of Indianapolis Preceptory #4 since 2009.  Director General 2017-2018.

Elected Grand Deputy Director General in 2021.

Member since 1988.   Life member.
